This summer, the Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence opened “Mary Jo’s Music Room.” The new space is named after Mary Jo, a late resident of Divine Providence Village. To honor Mary Jo, her family wished that her tribute gifts be designated to a music room to carry out her legacy and love for music. The room was completed in late June with the wonderful help of the men of Williamson Trade School and generous family and friends. Mary Jo’s Music Room is filled with musical instruments that are focused on DGDP residents’ ability to play and enjoy. In addition, there is a fun karaoke machine for dance parties. Marty Hyde, DGDP’s music director, now has a beautiful space for their men and women to have music therapy classes!
