Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a life filled with purpose and inclusion. Catholic Charities is dedicated to removing barriers and opening the doors to opportunities for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). With specialized programs, like our Special Trip, we help individuals with IDD gain skills, confidence, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Each month, participants can choose from a variety of enriching outings, including spa days, creative workshops (art, pottery, cooking), museum visits, theater shows, and sporting events. Personalized support ensures a safe and enjoyable experience, allowing individuals to explore new activities and engage in the community while having fun and building new skills.
Special trips are open to residents from The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence and members of the community.
