What a splendid way to kick off the Christmas Season! Thank you to each family member, staff, volunteer, and donor who joined us at Springfield Country Club on December 10th for The Communities’ Annual Family Christmas Party. The event welcomed nearly 500 guests, including the men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities we are so honored to serve.
Christmas Carols Sung by West Chester University Newman Center Choir
The West Chester University Newman Center Choir greeted guests with Christmas Carols and piano music. This was a special treat for all our guests.
Master of Ceremonies: Joe Holden of CBS Philadelphia
CBS Philadelphia anchor and reporter, Joe Holden, emceed the event. During the party, Joe welcomed guests, brought Father Dennis Weber to the microphone to grace the meal, and recognized our event sponsors, donors and special guests.
This was our second straight year having Joe serve as emcee. We are thrilled to have Joe as a friend of The Communities.
Live Music and Dancing by John Monforto
The multi-talented John Monforto played music for the event, opening the dance floor and getting everyone moving to their favorite songs. Men and women danced to everything from Christmas music to more traditional dance beats.
John is a singer, actor, impressionist, comedian, writer and emcee. He has visited the Communities many times, and is a fan favorite among all the individuals we serve.
