On Saturday, April 23^rd, approximately 100 family members, friends, and Catholic Human Services leadership gathered at the Cardinal Krol Homes mini-campus for the Dedication and Blessing of the Don Guanella Homes Memorial Walkway. A memorial brick with our residents’ names and date of death is enshrined along the walkway path. The Don Guanella maintenance team, led by Bill Harter, created a beautifully landscaped setting with a pergola seating area at the end of the walkway. The dedication and blessing honored 52 of our Don Guanella and Community Living residents who have passed since 2014. There was music, a gospel reading, intercessions, and prayerful remembrance. After two years apart, many family and friends joyfully reunited and enjoyed light refreshments after the service. Plans for an annual “garden party” are underway!
