A Fatima Fun Day was held on Friday, August 17th at The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence Day Programs located in Secane, PA. By Friday afternoon, the employment workshop activities for that week are completed allowing for creative ways for our participants to have fun. The Fun Day included activities such as bingo, hangman, cup stacking and most importantly music and dancing.
The 23 USI Gives Back employees connected, motivated and befriended every one of the 50-60 men and women that were in the workshop area that afternoon. Nobody was left out as everybody felt positive, caring, compassionate, loving energy that flowed between our participants and the USI Gives Back volunteers.
USI employee Tom Collins displayed his awesome communication and DJ skills and had Fatima participants and USI employees hugging and smiling as they moved their bodies through dance lines and around the workshop tables. Dancing is great exercise!
On behalf of our staff and all of the men and women that we are privileged to serve, thank you USI for giving your time and opening your hearts to The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence!
USI staff benefited from the afternoon spent together as much as our individuals, if not more and shared these sentiments: “Spending the afternoon with the folks at the Day Programs was such a rewarding and spiritual experience.” and “When I saw the smiles and laughter of the people at Don Guanella it was very fulfilling. Every member of the USI team contributed to making it a special day for everyone. I am proud to be part of this group of people.”
