The historic visit of Pope Francis to Philadelphia in September of 2015 reawakened the spirit of our City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection in witness to his humility and compassionate love.  His presence reminded us of our own call to be fully present for those in need. 

During his visit, the Pope met with a group of our Don Guanella, Divine Providence and Saint Edmonds men, women and children and a few members of their families.  For all of them it was an awe-filled experience.  Pope Francis has left Philadelphia, yet his energy remains with us. The humble, caring, and loving work that is done every day in our communities is a living example of what Pope Francis embodies and promotes.
