A Perfect Score… in Generosity

Jim and Tina Gula

Father Dennis Weber presents a Papal Blessing to Jim, Tina, and Kelsey Gula in appreciation for their generosity.

Occasionally, an organization is blessed by extraordinarily generous individuals whose selfless giving truly makes a difference in the lives of those they serve. Jim and Tina Gula are just that – extraordinary in their generosity to the Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence.

The Gulas made a significant planned gift that assisted us with the construction of our new Don Guanella campus on Sproul Road that we call the Cardinal Krol Homes. On June 27th, members of our community gathered there for a cookout with Jim, Tina and their daughter Kelsey to bless the newest addition to that campus – a beautiful outdoor pavilion and memorial garden that is their most recent gift.

A friend of Father Dennis Weber since first grade, Jim has been exceedingly generous through his substantial ongoing financial support and dedicated service as a faithful volunteer along with Tina. For about 25 years, they have been a regular presence organizing and helping the Don Guanella Challenger League, our spring baseball/whiffle ball activity. They have also participated in and sponsored other activities for our men and women such as movie nights and baseball game outings.

At our event on the 27th, Jim and Tina handed out awards to recognize all the Don Guanella and Divine Providence Village athletes, and announced two new scholarships for students at Cardinal O’Hara High School whose involvement in the school’s Community Service Corps includes assistance with the Challenger League.

If giving of time, talent, and treasure are the three marks of generosity, then the Gulas get a perfect score.

Thanks, Jim and Tina!

The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence.
