Named in honor of our founder, the Saint Luigi Guanella Legacy Society will comprise individuals who have made a planned gift to The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence.
There are two very easy ways to join the Saint Luigi Guanella Legacy Society. You may simply name The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence in your will, or name us as a beneficiary in your life insurance policy.
There are other ways that can help you realize substantial income tax savings now while ensuring the future of The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence. You can:
- If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly without having to pay any taxes on the money. This is called an IRA charitable rollover.
- You can transfer appreciated securities to The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence. The double benefit is that you save on capital gains taxes that are based on appreciation, and also receive a tax deduction for a charitable gift.
